Go Back to School -- It Can be Done!

She lost her job – permanently – in September 2008. Twenty-two years of commitment at Norwalk Furniture and now it was over. She had been a match-stripe cutter and a final inspector. Now what?! For Kathy Carleton it was devastating. Not only had she lost her job, but Norwalk Furniture was like family. And to make matters doubly worse her husband Bob had recently lost his job too.

Stress & Unemployment Workshop

The Huron County Workforce Response Team is sponsoring a workshop on Stress & Unemployment.  The workshop will be held on Wednesday, December 2 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Southern Connection, 9 Myrtle Ave., Willard.

Free Voice Mail Program

Access to free voice mail is now available to individuals through participating social service agencies in the 419 area code of northwest Ohio who do not have a telephone because they are without a permanent residence or cannot afford telephone service.
 

Foreclosure Workshop Offered in Willard - November 18

The Huron County Workforce Response Team is sponsoring an open workshop on avoiding home foreclosure.  The workshop will be held on Wednesday, November 18, 2009 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Financial Life Skills - Free Services Offered

Catholic Charities Financial LIfe Skills is a FREE service to help with budgeting, paying off debt, and saving for the future.  Call (419) 668-3073 for more information or to enroll in a program.

Education - Sail into your Future

Once upon a time there was a large ship that set sail from Europe to America.  It was know as the Unsinkable Titanic.  No one ever imagined that it would hit an iceberg and sink.  The people on that ship reacted to the tragedy in a variety of ways.

Angel Food Ministries

Angel Food Ministries helps people save money on their food bill.  The organization buys food in bulk and sells it in packages designed to feed a family of four their main meals for a week for $30.  Boxes with different items, such as meats, fresh fruits and vegetables, are also available.  The boxes are distributed once a month.
